Personal Profile

Describe your personality and character: I’m very independent and strong willed.

How do you think others would describe you?
Attractive, outgoing, intelligent, easy going, independent, fun loving and loyal.

What would you say is your strongest personal trait and why?
When I put my mind to something I don’t give up until I succeed. I am persistent and I think that it is a good trait to have in this world.

What is your favorite sport?
To play-golf. To watch-football.
Describe your own athletic ability/skills:
I was on the varsity dance squad, so I didn’t have much time for anything else but I can play all types of sports. I’m an average player because I don’t get many opportunities to play.

What is your favorite type of music?
I like all types of music, depending on my mood, but mostly I lean towards easy listening or mellow pop.
Why is this your favorite type of music?
I like music to go with my mood and I am a very mellow person. I don’t like a lot of drama or complications in my life and I think I gravitate towards happy, soothing music because of that.
Describe your own musical abilities/skills: I once was able to play the piano and the clarinet but I didn’t practice and, of course, lost the ability.

What is your favorite book? Fictional book would have to be “Shawna” by Kathleen Wiess and most recently I really like “7 Habits of Highly Effective People”-it really made me think and introspect.

What is your favorite movie? So many… my mother raised me on musicals and movies from the 40s and 50s. I love “Now Voyager” with Bette Davis.
Why?
I think it really put a great twist on the realities of love and it’s a great coming of age story.

Describe your own artistic abilities/skills:
I paint occasionally. I love to decorate. I think creativity can come in many different forms and in my career, being creative with a business aspect has always played a big role in my success.

Have you had any unique travel experiences that you feel have helped shape your way of thinking and/or the way you live your life?
I recently went to Texas for the funeral of the my great grandmother who died at 96 years of age and seeing where she lived made me really appreciate my life and the opportunity that is available to me by just living in California. It seemed that there was only one opportunity when you live in the farm lands of Post, Texas and that is the farm cotton. If you want to be something else, you basically have to leave your family in order to follow your dreams and seeing this, I came to really appreciate what my grandmother did in order to give her children and inevitably her grandchildren a better life. I see now what sacrifices people make when they leave their families for opportunities at having more.

Have you had any unique educational experiences? Every day I learn something about myself or others and just like the saying goes: People are like wine, they get better with age. I can’t remember any unique experience, but I like to see a lesson out of every challenge or defeat in order to rise up and take the world on again.

Have you had any unique experiences with volunteer work? I volunteered a few years ago for Habitat for Humanity and our group helped a senior lady clean up things around her house that she couldn’t do physically or wasn’t able to afford to pay someone else to do. What really made an impression on me was the condition that this woman lived in-it saddened me that this poor woman was living the way she was.

If you were given enough funds to spend one year of your life to engage in any recreational, political, religious/spiritual, or other endeavor of particular importance to you, what would you choose to do?
I would want to help guide and encourage under privileged children to help them find the confidence to believe their dreams and support them in working towards succeeding at their goals. The kids today are the leaders of the future and they need to be nurtured and loved.

Philosophies and Thoughts

What is your philosophy on life? Be happy today because crying can always wait until tomorrow.

How did you come to have this philosophy on life?
I realized many years ago when I was faced with a challenge that sitting back and feeling sorry for myself accomplished absolutely nothing and if anything, wasted time that could have been put towards finding a solution.

What is your ultimate goal and ambition in life?
To have a family as loving and close as mine was and is. To own a successful business and be able to take time out for the important things like family when need be.

How do you plan on achieving this goal?
Taking it one day at a time and seeing the opportunity when it presents itself to me.

Why do you want to be an egg donor?
I feel that it is a great honor to have the opportunity to help someone in a way that they cannot. If a loving couple or person wants to raise and love a child, that is a wonderful thing and if I can help by being a part of that miracle, it makes me feel really good.

What do you think egg donation means to potential recipients?
I hope it means the chance to have a child to raise and love.
