Personal Profile

Describe your personality and character: I am an outgoing, fun, successful, interesting, dedicated, determined, curious, loving woman. I am far beyond normal. My personality lights up a room and people ranging from my family to friends to strangers have told me so. I take life for what it's worth and am constantly striving to better myself.

How do you think others would describe you?
My friends and family agree. They all comment on how expressive I am. They also admire my dedication and determination.

What would you say is your strongest personal trait and why?
My strongest trait is my curiosity. I am very interested in almost all areas. The world has so much to offer, so I try to learn about different things that interest me. My curiosity causes me to ask a lot of questions, and by doing so I am continually learning.

What is your favorite sport?
Ballet. I love to dance and have done so for 16 years. I also enjoy watching hockey.
Describe your own athletic ability/skills:
I love ballet! I have been trained in, and have been dancing classical ballet for over 16 years. It has taught me so many wonderful things that I can apply to not only the dance world but the outside world as well. These things include discipline, motivation, posture, movement, musicality and presence. I have preformed in several ballets my entire life up through high school and still dance for the sheer enjoyment today! I also love the outdoors. I grew up in Colorado, which has had a profound impact on me. Nature is a beautiful thing that should not be taken for granted. I enjoy anything that is outdoors including skiing, hiking, swimming, boating, rafting, climbing and things of that nature.

What is your favorite type of music?
Country
Why is this your favorite type of music?
I love the beats and rhythms of Country music. Most of the songs tell stories too, which I like. Unlike rap or other types of music, Country is not derogatory and is much more upbeat.
Describe your own musical abilities/skills: I play the flute. I learned how to play in middle school, and although I no longer take lessons I can still pick up a flute and play it wonderfully. It has become a tradition in my family for my sister and I to play Christmas songs on our flutes every Christmas!

Describe any other special talents, skills, hobbies or interests you may have:
Aside from ballet, I love the outdoors. Growing up in Colorado has been a privilege. I love to hike, ski, and camp.

What is your favorite book? Any murder mystery/thriller book.
Why? I like to try to guess who did the crime and I enjoy all the twists and turns the author throws in.

What is your favorite movie? Wedding Crashers, The Notebook
Why?
I think the humor in this movie is great and I like Owen Wilson and Kate Hudson as actors, and The Notebook is a beautiful love story

Describe your own artistic abilities/skills:
Unfortunately I am not very artistic when it comes to drawing or painting. My mom and uncle are good and my uncle paints professionally. I am very artistic in the dance world. Movement is an expression and I love to dance to show this.

Have you had any unique travel experiences that you feel have helped shape your way of thinking and/or the way you live your life?
I traveled to Sweden when I was 12 so that my mom could add to her family’s genealogy. It was neat to see where my family is from and to meet some of my distant relatives who live there.

Have you had any unique educational experiences? I remember a field trip I took once in a geology class. I found a fossil and I thought it was interesting because I was later able to describe the bug and the type of rock and era it was from.

Have you had any unique experiences with volunteer work? I have helped at soup kitchens before. It has definitely given me perspective.

If you were given enough funds to spend one year of your life to engage in any recreational, political, religious/spiritual, or other endeavor of particular importance to you, what would you choose to do?
I would take a missions trip. I have become closer to God and know that he has helped me through my many struggles in life as well as guided me. I’d like to pass on the message to people.

Philosophies and Thoughts

What is your philosophy on life? I feel that it is important for a person to discover what interests them the most and to continually ask themselves questions about that area to strive to learn more.

How did you come to have this philosophy on life?
My dad feels the same way about life. I have learned a lot from him and now have come to agree.

What is your ultimate goal and ambition in life?
My ultimate goal is to get married to a man who will love and respect me and to have kids. I cannot wait to start a family and am so looking forward to sharing my knowledge and love with my children.

How do you plan on achieving this goal?
Right now I am focusing on school. I am helping to ensure that I will get a good job that will support me and then my family. I know God has a plan and when the time is right, I will then be able to do that.

Why do you want to be an egg donor?
Medically speaking, I feel that this a wonderful opportunity for me to expand my knowledge in this area. I hope to ultimately become a diagnostic medical sonographer who assists doctors with procedures done at fertility clinics. However, my primary reason is that my heart goes out to the recipients. I feel that those couples who are willing to go to such great lengths to conceive are undoubtedly worthy individuals who are anxious to share their knowledge and love. I’m very happy to be a part of the process to help in the struggle!

What do you think egg donation means to potential recipients?
I’m sure this means the world to them. Sometimes life is not as easy as we would like it. It is in these hard times that we must reach out for the help and support of others. I am happy to be helping.

What are your thoughts on egg donation as a fertility option? I think that this is a wonderful advance in science. I can’t believe how lucky those who thought it never possible to conceive are.
