Personal Profile
Describe your personality and character: Most importantly, I love to laugh and to make others laugh, even though it is usually just me who is cracking up. I am pretty dorky and pretty clumsy. Some of my favorite things in life include taking pictures of clouds, baking (desserts only), eating too much food, traveling, watching a good movie (no horror films), and using big words that I sometimes don’t know the meanings to. There are not many people in this world who I don’t like, at least the ones I have met, and who don’t like me in return. I am in love with my dog, an 11 lb. Schnoodle whose name is Gunther Delicious. I grew up in New Mexico and Colorado and am currently attending college, where I am a Bio/Pre-Med major. I love to experience life and all it has to offer. I am interested in meeting new people and expanding my knowledge of the world.
How do you think others would describe you? I was voted the “Nicest Person to Work With.” Otherwise, I think people would describe me as funny, particular, and easy-going.
What would you say is your strongest personal trait and why? My strongest personality trait is my ability to be happy in almost any situation.
What is your favorite sport? Swimming Describe your own athletic ability/skills: Although I have never truly excelled at sports, I do enjoy them, especially swimming and track. I did win first place in the city-wide track meet in fifth grade but other than that, I was never very distinguished in sports.
What is your favorite type of music? All kinds. I like oldies and hip-hop but not jazz. Why is this your favorite type? I like music that has a beat and that I can sing along to. Describe your own musical abilities/skills: I can’t carry a tune and I have no rhythm. Basically, I don’t have any musical abilities.
Describe any other special talents, skills, hobbies or interests you may have: I love baking and more than anything, I love to read.
What is your favorite book? The Outlander Series by Diana Gabaldon Why?These are my favorite books because no matter how many times I read them (I think I am up to six), they are always exciting. These books talk about a lot of things which may not be possible, but I still like to think they are are. Also, the way Gabaldon develops her characters gives them a depth and personality that is quite relatable.
What is your favorite movie? Nacho Libre, Zoolander, Mickey Blue Eyes, Return to Me Why? These are my favorite movies because they are funny, they make me laugh and I enjoy watching them over and over again. Describe your own artistic abilities/skills: My mother is a graphic designer and she says that I am very artistic. I feel I am more creative than artistic, lacking the necessary talent to carry out my ideas.

Have you had any unique travel experiences that you feel have helped shape your way of thinking and/or the way you live your life?
No, but I would most like to travel to Greece because in my head I have a picture of this amazing country with white sandy beaches, great people and amazing food. I would also like to visit Italy, England, Ireland, India, Canada, Japan and a dozen other places!
Have you had any unique educational experiences? While in middle school and high school, I was in the International Baccalaureate Program. The IB program aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable, and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect. Additionally, the educational material studied is approximately two years ahead of normal. I feel that being in this program not only prepared me for college, it has helped in my development as a person.
If you were given enough funds to spend one year of your life to engage in any recreational, political, religious/spiritual, or other endeavor of particular importance to you, what would you choose to do? I think I would choose to travel the world. What better way to broaden one’s horizons and cultural awareness than through traveling?
Philosophies and Thoughts
What is your philosophy on life? To enjoy life no matter what and to make at least one person smile every day.
How did you come to have this philosophy on life? I didn’t have any special influences when deciding on this philosophy, it is just something I think I have always practiced. If I enjoy life, then how can I be unhappy? And if I can make somebody else smile or laugh, then I make their life more enjoyable for them as well. One of my favorite books as a child was “Miss Rumphius,” by Barbara Cooney(it is still one of my favorite books). It tells the story of a woman, Miss Rumphius, and the life she lives. As a child, Miss Rumphius listens to her grandfather’s tales about his life and all the places he has been. She resolves to travel the world a more beautiful place by planting lupines everywhere. I feel that I can make the world a more beautiful place by trying to make someone else smile, every day.
What is your ultimate goal and ambition in life? To enjoy life and be happy with myself and my situation.
How do you plan on achieving this goal? I think that if I continue to grow and learn about other people, the world and about myself, this goal can be accomplished.
Why do you want to be an egg donor? I would like to be an egg donor because, at this point in my life, I have decided that I do not want to have children. It seems silly to me that I can have children yet don’t want to while there are millions of couples out there who would love to have children yet aren’t able to. I would like to help one of those couples have a child, especially since I know how special the child would be to them. I think, most importantly, that I had one of the most amazing childhoods of anyone I know because of how much I was loved. If I could do that for another child, I think it would be an incredible experience.
What do you think egg donation means to potential recipients? It is a chance for them to fulfill their most highly held and most loved dreams.
