How do you think others would describe you? Silly, goofy, can be hyper but need my quiet time, sensitive, focused, determined, very clean/organized, health nut, caring, sympathetic.
What would you say is your strongest personal trait and why? Determination: I accomplish anything I set my mind to. I will never give up Also, the love and appreciation of family and friends.
What is your favorite sport? Figure skating and gymnastics Describe your own athletic ability/skills: One of my strengths is my athletic ability. I was a competitive figure skater for almost 10 years and was a competitive gymnast as a child and in junior high. I love recreational sports such as basketball and softball.
What is your favorite type of music? All kinds! At the moment, it is Indie Rock. I’ve always liked classic rock as well as a little country. What makes these your favorite types? It’s fun and/or emotional. It reminds me of all kinds of memories. Music triggers emotions and experiences in my past. Describe your own musical abilities/skills: I played basic clarinet in elementary school. I love the piano and learned to play complicated songs by ear, however I am not formally trained. I hope to take lessons some day.
Describe any other special talents, skills, hobbies or interests you may have: My main talents are my artistic and athletic abilities.
What is your favorite book? The Red Tent, Poisonwood Bible, The Other Boleyn Girl Why? I love historical fiction sot that you are able to learn while being entertained. I also love books that take place in different cultures. It helps you to imagine different cultures and places.
What is your favorite movie? How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, Knocked Up, Little Miss Sunshine Why? I love comedies.
Describe your own artistic abilities/skills: My biggest skills as an adult! I am a Painter, Web Designer, Graphic Designer. I am currently working as an interactive web designer and am loving every minute of it.
Have you had any unique travel experiences that you feel have helped shape your way of thinking and/or the way you live your life? I’ve had many, the most memorable was my trip to South Africa. The spirit and kindness of the people as well as the beauty of the land and wildlife was incredible beyond words.
Have you had any unique educational experiences? The most educational experience for me came from traveling. I have been to Italy, France and Africa-each place had a huge impact on me on many different levels and inspired me to read and learn about different people, places and cultures.
Have you had any unique experiences with volunteer work? I have volunteered at summer camps throughout high school. In one particular case, they were short of girl counselors so I volunteered to take on a group of 8 rambunctious boys (3 being medicated for ADD). It was exhausting but a lot of fun! I leaned a lot about patience and how to handle youngsters with high anxiety levels.
If you were given enough funds to spend one year of your life to engage in any recreational, political, religious/spiritual, or other endeavor of particular importance to you, what would you choose to do? I would have a family reunion at a beautiful tropical location. Since all of my cousins are grown, it’s hard for the whole family to get together at once. Then, I would take my boyfriend and best friend on an intense traveling adventure.
Philosophies and Thoughts
What is your philosophy on life? I prefer a spiritual outlook over religion. I think a wonderful book that everyone should read and/or listen to is “A New Earth.” I just think the most important thing in life is to remember how important friends and family are in comparison to materialistic things. People these days put way too much emphasis on things that do not matter and waste energy being negative. I’m all about being positive and being the best person you can be to yourself and to others.
How did you come to have this philosophy on life? I have faced adversity as a child and there is no use feeling sorry for yourself and to others.
What is your ultimate goal and ambition in life? To have a loving supportive marriage with 2 wonderful healthy children while successfully balancing my career as an interactive designer.
Why do you want to be an egg donor? I cannot wait to become a mother; it is something most little girls dream of happening when they grow up. I cannot imagine the pain it could cause being unable to conceive. I want to help one of the many wonderful women become a mother that otherwise could not.
What are your thoughts on egg donation as a fertility option? I think it’s wonderful and amazing that medical science has made these incredible discoveries.
