Describe your personality and character: I am fun, outgoing, intelligent, very compassionate, caring, understanding, and tolerant. I can be shy, but usually make friends quickly and easily.
How do you think others would describe you? Funny, fun, smart, outgoing, caring.
What would you say is your strongest personal trait and why? My compassion. I feel for others very strongly, which helps me to make lasting friendships and strong bonds with people.
What is your favorite sport? To do: cheerleading. To watch: football. Describe your own athletic ability/skills: I am pretty athletic. I was an all-star cheerleader for years and was a successful competitive gymnast.
What is your favorite type of music? I like everything but heavy metal. What makes these your favorite types? I love everything but what I like at a particular moment is dependant on my mood. Describe your own musical abilities/skills: I played the piano for 5 years, I also play the dulcimer.
Describe any other special talents, skills, hobbies or interests you may have: I was a competitive gymnast and cheerleader for many years. I also love to watch movies, cook, bake, and teach children.
What is your favorite book? A Time to Dance, by Karen Kingsbury Why? It really goes to the heart of marriage and the problems they deal with and it shows how turning to their faith was crucial in their survival.
What is your favorite movie? Dog Day Afternoon Why? My dad forced me to watch this so I think the excitement and the nostalgia is why.
Describe your own artistic abilities/skills: I have been oil painting for 8 years. I have won many art shows and sold many paintings. I also danced technically for 12 years.
Have you had any unique travel experiences that you feel have helped shape your way of thinking and/or the way you live your life? I was able to visit another area in the United States to help build houses for those less fortunate and it really opened my eyes to the tragedy in our own country.
Have you had any unique educational experiences? I was homeschooled for 4 years. It allowed me to really value “A” quality and it allowed me to start college at age 16.
Have you had any unique experiences with volunteer work? I was the head of a committee for Habitat for Humanity-that was a huge experience for me. I was able to learn the ins and outs of leadership.
If you were given enough funds to spend one year of your life to engage in any recreational, political, religious/spiritual, or other endeavor of particular importance to you, what would you choose to do? I would fight poverty in our country first but then would travel to Africa to help the children there gain education, good health, and the knowledge they will need to succeed and change their lives.
Philosophies and Thoughts
What is your philosophy on life? I think life is what you make it; we must take what we are dealt with and make the best of it.
How did you come to have this philosophy on life? I have spent much time dwelling on the things in life that I wasn’t happy about and then realized that I was much happier when I did something to change those things and make my life happier.
What is your ultimate goal and ambition in life? To be happy and have a beautiful family grounded in faith. To raise my children to be a valuable part of society, to be open minded and accepting of everyone and to be fulfilled in my professional endeavors.
How do you plan on achieving this goal? To do the best I can to continue learning in and out of school. To associate with people that will make me a better person. To stay true to my beliefs.
Why do you want to be an egg donor? I want every person to be able to experience the joy of being a parent. It is the toughest but most rewarding experience in life.
What do you think egg donation means to potential recipients? I think it means a whole new life, a chance to experience something incredible that might otherwise be impossible.
