What is your favorite type of music? Anything with a good beat. Why is this your favorite type of music? I love to dance. Describe your own musical abilities/skills: I sing fairly well.
What is your favorite book? Gone With the Wind Why? Because Scarlet O’Hara did everything it took to survive and take care of her family and Tara.
What is your favorite movie? Down With Love Why? It is a sweet comedy that reminds me of the Doris Day/Rock Hudson movies I always saw as a child. Describe your own artistic abilities/skills: They are not so fantastic.
Have you had any unique travel experiences that you feel have helped shape your way of thinking and/or the way you live your life? No, but I am still young. I would love to travel every square inch of Europe. There is so much history and so much to see and learn.
Have you had any unique educational experiences? I was a part of the Finance DECA club and I traveled to various parts of the US twice a year for regional and international competitions. We had some down time where we were allowed to travel the area we were staying in. I valued being able to see different parts of the country.
Have you had any unique experiences with volunteer work? Yes, for the past six years, I have brought presents to a local orphanage for Christmas. We bring toys too but those kids have nothing to call their own so they are more than ecstatic to receive even just a few pairs of socks. Also, I have spent time in the play room of St. Joseph’s hospital, which is a hospital for children, most of which can’t afford the care they are receiving. The hospital takes donations and turns no one away. The children in St. Joe’s have everything from terminal cancer to burns on 90% of their bodies. Some are born with no appendages. These kids light up so much even for you to play Tic-Tac-Toe with them. It’s heart warming and heart breaking all at the same time.
If you were given enough funds to spend one year of your life to engage in any recreational, political, religious/spiritual, or other endeavor of particular importance to you, what would you choose to do? I would travel-to Europe mostly, but I would see all that I could in one year. There is so much history, so much to learn, and so many different customs to experience in the world.
Philosophies and Thoughts
What is your philosophy on life? Do what you love and be happy in all that you do.
How did you come to have this philosophy on life? I have realized that life is too short to waste time in an unhappy job or with unhappy people, so surround yourself with the things and the people you love because one day they aren’t going to be there.
What is your ultimate goal and ambition in life? To have a successful career and a big, loving family.
How do you plan on achieving this goal? Start by finishing school, then start teaching, get married, and have children.
Why do you want to be an egg donor? I am a young, intelligent lady who doesn’t plan to have children any time soon. If I can give the gift of life to someone who wants it but isn’t able to do so on their own, then I want to help.
What do you think egg donation means to potential recipients? The world. If they can find a perfect match and they end up with a child that’s perfect for them, then they have probably just completed one of the last things on their list of things to do in life.
