How do you think others would describe you? Outgoing, caring, studious, ambitious, goal oriented, courteous, creative.
What would you say is your strongest personal trait and why? Being a caring person and being goal oriented because I care a lot about others and prefer to help others all the time.
What is your favorite sport? I love ALL sports, especially football.
Describe your own athletic ability/skills: I’m very athletic. I played all sports in high school.
What is your favorite type of music? Everything-I am very open minded.
Why is this your favorite type of music? I love to listen to the rhythm of music.
Describe your own musical abilities/skills: I used to play the piano when I was younger.
Describe any other special talents, skills, hobbies or interests you may have: I love to read and watch movies about the books I have read. And, of course, to help others.
What is your favorite book? A Simple Plan, by Scott Smith
Why? Because it has everything. It’s thrilling, it has a love story, ambitious people, and at the end, everything comes full circle.
What is your favorite movie? Casablanca
Why? I love the classics and because of the love story that the movie is about.
Describe your own artistic abilities/skills: I love to write; it’s my passion. I love to write about everything and anything.
Do you speak any foreign languages? Spanish
Have you had any unique travel experiences that you feel have helped shape your way of thinking and/or the way you live your life? I went to a small town as part of a volunteer group to help out teenage girls and show them that there are many ways to become educate and that it doesn’t matter where one comes from or who their parents are-they can change and break the chain.
Have you had any unique educational experiences? My most unique educational experience would be when I got sent to New York to represent my university in a 10 day journalism convention. I saw so many places where I can work and what I can become if I continue with my education.
Have you had any unique experiences with volunteer work? During Thanksgiving, I went to a homeless shelter to feed families and I saw this little boy there. I started talking to him and I couldn’t believe his innocence-although he didn’t have what others had, he was very grateful what he did have.
If you were given enough funds to spend one year of your life to engage in any recreational, political, religious/spiritual, or other endeavor of particular importance to you, what would you choose to do? I would like to be sent to a third world country and have the ability and resources to educate the women in that country; to show them that being a woman is a good thing and we can change everything and anything if we try. I would like to teach them to not be afraid of change-that change can be good and that they are just as powerful as anyone out there. |
