Describe your personality and character: I’m reserved but I can be outgoing. Responsible, level-headed, smart, resourceful, creative, sensitive.
How do you think others would describe you? My friends usually describe me as intelligent, very logical, responsible, fair, loyal, supportive, and caring.
What would you say is your strongest personal trait and why? I think my strongest personal trait is my compassion. I always try to understand what others are going through and if I can’t, I try to offer them an outlet so that they can find support.
What is your favorite sport? I don’t have a particular favorite, I enjoy all sports. Describe your own athletic ability/skills: Although I was not very athletic growing up, I have an athletic sort of build. I work out regularly (at least 4-5 times a week) and I try to do as much physical activity as I can.
What is your favorite type of music? Classical Music Why is this your favorite type of music? I was raised on Classical Music and have always enjoyed it. Although I never fully appreciated it as a child, Classical Music has become my comfort blanket. Describe your own musical abilities/skills: I have played the violin for 20 years. I also played piano for 14 years (so my level is proficient). I specialized in music education in college and therefore have an understanding of the most of the classical instruments.
Describe any other special talents, skills, hobbies or interests you may have: I love puzzles, logic games, board games, random “How To” books, random facts books. I love books and reading, and especially the entertainment arts.
What is your favorite book? I don’t have a favorite. Some of the authors I enjoy are: Neil Gaiman, J.K. Rowling, Jane Austen, and many of the classic novel authors.
What is your favorite movie? Disney’s “Sleeping Beauty” Why? When I was growing up, I used to watch this movie all the time. When I got older, I loved it even more after figuring out that Tchaikovsky’s Sleeping Beauty is the main background music.
Describe your own artistic abilities/skills: I think I have a very artistic eye. I like creative and unique items and I am constantly in search of new things. I highly enjoy visiting museums and learning about photography.

Have you had any unique travel experiences that you feel have helped shape your way of thinking and/or the way you live your life?
I traveled with my family to China a few years ago. I think that seeing the culture that my parents and my relatives grew up in really brought me down to reality and I began to appreciate everything I had as an American.
Have you had any unique educational experiences? My high school Chamber Orchestra traveled to London and New York. I will always treasure those wonderful experiences. I have played in Carnegie Hall and the Royal Conservatory of Music.
Have you had any unique experiences with volunteer work? I volunteered for the Hakka Taiwanese Foundation that my dad worked with for a few years. Before I was 15, I didn’t even know that my father’s side of the family was Hakka People. I learned so much about the culture and even participated in a traditional rice dance.
If you were given enough funds to spend one year of your life to engage in any recreational, political, religious/spiritual, or other endeavor of particular importance to you, what would you choose to do? I would do my best to support the arts. I believe that the arts are so vital to a child’s upbringing. I believe that the arts encourage imagination and creativity and give many children an outlet should they ever need one.
Philosophies and Thoughts
What is your philosophy on life? Take change as it comes and laugh when you can.
How did you come to have this philosophy on life? Everything in my life is constantly changing. As a musician, I’m constantly running around. I think laughter is such an amazing thing. I learned to laugh at myself and I think it has made me a much better person.
What is your ultimate goal and ambition in life? To be able to support my family and myself. To be a successful role model for those around me and to earn the respect of others.
How do you plan on achieving this goal? To always try to do what I can. I always try to go above and beyond whatever I take on.
Why do you want to be an egg donor? I think that every person should have a chance to have a family, be a part of one. My aunt always wanted children but could never have them. The closest thing she has are her nieces and nephews and I know that she still wishes she had children of her own.
What do you think egg donation means to potential recipients? A chance to have a family of their own, to be able to do something that was genetically or for some other reason not given to them.
What are your thoughts on egg donation as a fertility option? I think that science is an amazing thing and I’m supportive of the results. I think that this gives many people hope and can grant many wishes.
Is there anything else you would like to share about yourself that we haven’t asked? I’m very excited to be considered as a donor. I think that children and having children is an amazing thing.
