Academic Information
Educational level: Masters

GPA: 3.43

Major: Business, Public Administration

Degree: MBA, MA

Educational Goals: My educational goals are to finish school and apply what I have learned to our society. My main focus is on Low-Income housing and improving our government’s way of working with people who are less fortunate. I would like to pursue my Master’s degree in Public Administration. While working on my Master’s degree, I want to volunteer with the government for the experience and to get my foot in the door. Volunteering will let various organizations know that I am dedicated and devoted to improving our government’s system. I would like to work on a double major as well. I will most likely go for my Master’s degree first, but if working on another major will benefit me, then I will do that next. The second major I want to work on is Business Management.
Occupational Information
Current Occupation: Student, Bank Teller
Career Goals: My career goals are similar to my educational goals. I would like to work with the government. My reasoning for obtaining my Business Management degree is to run my own organization and run things the way I see fit. I truly enjoy the feeling of helping others and the idea of working on low-income housing and families. Doing so through the government is one way to contribute to our society. I guess you can see my ultimate career goal is just being able to help others and make a difference in someone’s life.

Personal Profile

Describe your personality and character: Outgoing, wouldn’t know a stranger, energetic, athletic, fun loving, dwell on positive not the negative, and tend to be a little insecure. My mom believes it is because I was the middle child. I always needed approval growing and still in adulthood I like to know that I have done a good job. I am very sociable, an extrovert at times; independent, strong-willed, a goal setter. When I set my mind to any situation, it has to get completed. I will admit to being OCD about particular things, but that is how I like to live. Having lived in a big family, I like my house and personal items to be in order. This is one trait that has been passed down to my children-cleanliness. I do tend to procrastinate from time to time, but ultimately the task at hand gets completed. As long as I can remember, I have had a wild imagination and I am still very artsy and creative. I learn best by example and with hands on, but I am capable of learning through vision and auditory. My character spans greatly with my personality. My friends would describe me as being a person everyone wants to be around. I am dedicated and always striving for perfection or the next best thing. There is never a dull moment. My personality is addicting and my presence is always a sight for sore eyes.

How do you think others would describe you?
I think others see me in the same sense that I do. My friends would say that I am outgoing, friendly, dependable, fun-loving, eager, very organized and the OCD would come up. They know that I like certain things done a specific way. I am sociable and just a person they love to be around. Another way they would describe me would be by my looks. I am not big headed, but they would describe me as being beautiful, having an exotic look about me and all around a good looking person, even after having three kids.

What would you say is your strongest personal trait and why?
My strongest personal trait is determination. I could have easily sat at home and been the stereotypical stay at home parent. Instead, I made the decision to continue on with school, earn my degree and make something of myself. I have applied myself and I am determined to achieve my goals and set a good example for my children.

What is your favorite sport?
Growing up I played a lot of sports, but my favorites were Tae Kwon Do and soccer.
Describe your own athletic ability/skills:
I don’t practice Tae Kwon Do or play soccer anymore, so my athletic abilities these days are focused on exercising and staying fit-running, lifting weights and any type of cardiovascular activity.

What is your favorite type of music?
I love all types of music and if I had to list them in order, it would be: Dance/House Music, Salsa, R&B, Country, Alternative, Classic Rock, Classical Reggae and Luciano Pavarotti.

Describe your own musical abilities/skills: If dancing can be considered a musical ability or skill, I do that very well. I can keep a beat and can distinguish different instruments. I used to play the drums in middle school and high school. I also played in the marching band. My brothers and sister all played various instruments throughout childhood.

Describe any other special talents, skills, hobbies or interests you may have: Several hobbies that I enjoy are: billiards, salsa dancing, working out, shopping, and as crazy as it sounds, cleaning and organizing. I do my own detailing on our vehicles and I enjoy traveling a lot. My kids especially enjoy long trips. Being in a military family, they have adapted well to being on the go.

What is your favorite book? The Witching Hour, by Anne Rice
Why? It is one of my favorites because of the storyline, the twists and turns between fact and fiction. It is not your normal love, romantic novel, nor the typical Anne Rice vampire story. It is unique and keeps you wanting more. It is all around a great story.

What is your favorite movie? As Good As It Gets
Why? Two of my favorite actors are in the movie-Jack Nicholson and Cuba Gooding Jr. It is my favorite movie because of the comedy and how Nicholson has to overcome his obsessive compulsive disorder and learn how not to be mean and cold-hearted to everyone around him. He ends up falling in love and learning how to control his actions. It is a really funny movie.
Describe your own artistic abilities/skills: My artistic skills are basic. Everyone in our family has some sort of artistic ability. I can draw and copy other’s drawings very well, but if you were to ask me to paint a picture, it may not come out too pretty.

Have you had any unique travel experiences that you feel have helped shape your way of thinking and/or the way you live your life? Not really. I have seen the houses that poor people live in and it is not pretty. Witnessing that atmosphere has steered me to help these people in some way.

Have you had any unique educational experiences? My unique educational experience would be the educating of myself through online classes. I have basically taught myself how to be a better student, a self motivator. I am teaching my eldest son the importance of being educated, by attending school now and setting a good example of how learning will benefit him when he is older. He doesn’t fully understand now, but when he is older, he will greatly appreciate what we have instilled in him and his siblings.

If you were given enough funds to spend one year of your life to engage in any recreational, political, religious/spiritual, or other endeavor of particular importance to you, what would you choose to do? I would like to spend one year traveling the world with my family and teaching/learning with my children about the different cultures that exist all around us. They watch the National Geographic Channel, Animal Planet and Discovery, but to be able to touch, hear, see and experience these different places would be the greatest learning experience I could ever give my family.

Philosophies and Thoughts

What is your philosophy on life? My philosophy in life would be to live it to your fullest ability. Don’t waste time looking back on what may have happened in the past, but use it to be stronger. Learn from your mistakes and keep on pushing forward.

How did you come to have this philosophy on life? I have heard of this philosophy before, but decided to make it my own because I do not choose to focus on the bad that has happened in the past. If you make a mistake, you have to move on and learn from it. My mother has told me this before and for the longest time I did not listen to her. Now, having children of my own, I understand. I cannot waste time and energy worrying about past events that I cannot change. This is something that I have now started to teach my oldest boy.

What is your ultimate goal and ambition in life? My ultimate goal and ambition in life is to be the best mom to my children and a supporting wife to my husband.

How do you plan on achieving this goal? If I am successful in parenting and being fully devoted to my husband, then everything will come easily. My family is very important to me and keeping them safe and happy would be achieving my goal.

Why do you want to be an egg donor? I am a very giving person and I have the ability to give to another woman the chance to have her own baby and go through the experience that mothers do—this is a gift and should be shared. To me there is no better feeling than holding your baby in your arms and watching each day as they discover the world around them. It can be crazy at times, but that’s what makes it so special-the memories of your children and watching them grow.

What do you think egg donation means to potential recipients? A sign of hope and the possibility to have a baby of their own. It is the light at the end of the tunnel for mothers who have been trying to conceive and cannot.

Is there anything else you would like to share about yourself that we haven’t asked? I just want to say Thank You for giving me this opportunity. I am looking forward to helping women who want to become mothers. I am truly excited to take the next step.
